Gee whiz, I just realized that I’ve not done a blog post since January 30. That’s over 2 weeks. No wonder I’ve been depressed, discouraged, and sad. I’m in blog posting withdrawal!
Plus it’s winter here in the West. Grey skies, rain, snow, winds, floods, washed out drive ways, indoors living. Not my cup of tea. Speaking of which, who’d like a cup?
But there is a lot going on at Dancing Bee Baking, so let me bring you up to date.
First, I had the great honor of baking for quite a few people for Valentine’s. And several people ordered Valentine’s cookies for their moms! How great is that, I got to bake for some great mothers?
I love being festive and “making pretty” as my husband says, so I really did up my Valentine’s packaging, which you can see right here.
The valentine’s cookies were so much fun to do! I loved every minute of it. That included doing the decorated cookies, which is really truly a great way to “make pretty” and so gratifying to my soul. Yes, I’m learning Quickbooks and my business ‘numbers’ (yuck) but I also get to make pretties, as you can see.
Now that I’ve let you know what’s happening at Dancing Bee Baking, I will tell you that I’m planning blog posts on a sweet trick to coat cookies with powdered sugar, a discussion of Easter Cookies, and some talk about spring, flowers and other great stuff.
In terms of recipes, I can’t wait to try this David Lebovitz recipe for Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies. It looks absolutely decadent! I also want to try more of the decorating tips from Flour Box Baking, since everything the owner Anne does is outrageously good.
Well, I do think I may be rambling on, so I’ll say good bye for now, but before I do, a Shout Out to all of you for visiting with me today! Have a great weekend, and I’ll see you next time.
